The Road Runner An American Odyssey

The Road Runner An American Odyssey
John Stover was born in Brockton Massachusetts.
Growing up in the family business, a skid-row hotel, Mr. Stover experienced several sudden and unexpected deaths, finding his first corpse at age seven.

After college, the author hit the road, working at such odd jobs as guessing astrological signs, carnival worker, and selling blood to survive. The author logged over 20,000 miles on his thumb.

Eventually, the author moved to California where he went to work for Edwin W. Pauley, the Treasurer of the Democratic Party. He lived on the Pauley's private island in Hawaii for three summers. After Mr. Pauley died, the author opened an international clothing concern, eventually losing his company, a result of succumbing to the drug and alcohol lifestyle.

Today, Mr. Stover is sober with a thirteen year old daughter, Katy. He has just completed his third book, a new-age, science fiction story about a dysfunctional time-traveler.
